Prior to motherhood, I was in school to be a, my plan was actually to be a social worker. And I fell pregnant and I was working full time as a supervisor at Starbucks. So I gave birth in March and I graduated in July and thankfully my teachers were super supportive of me. And they totally understood they were there with me 100% of the way so I was able to graduate. And yeah, I just knew when I had my daughter that I was not going to continue on that path of social work just because of the whole like mental, emotional aspect of it. But then also doing my volunteer hours and being able to contribute to my household and it was just not doable. And now so I work from home as a remote receptionist and I'm going to continue on some schooling but for something else. And yeah, I'm just wondering like did your plans, future plans change as well? Did you stick with your plans? I'm just wondering like if anybody else's world kind of changed once they became a mother.

I had no idea what I was gonna do before I became a mom. I envisioned being like a stay at home mom and that just wasn't financially like able for our family but also.

But also I wanted to work, like I enjoy marketing and helping other small business owners, which is my job. So it definitely looks different than I could have ever imagined, but that's okay.

That said, if we're ever able to get pregnant with a second, I will **** *** way more time than I did with my first and just be a new mom all over again.

Honestly, I think like when you become pregnant and when you have your child everything just changes and it all see in the end it just works out for the best for you and your family.

Before I met my husband, I was in school studying psychology and I really wanted to work with kids in some type of child psychology, whether that be like a child therapist or a guidance counselor or like a behavioral aide.

And I had to work to put myself through school, so I had multiple jobs and one of them was at Walmart. And that's where I met my husband and he actually had five kids already, so I became a stepmom.

And once I became a stepmom I just found out my heart wasn't really into the schooling or studying or that career path as much anymore I wanted more time with my family

And so unfortunately I did drop out and I didn't finish getting my degree, but I was just getting my associate, so I hadn't... I wasn't like too far into the degree. But then...

But after that I kept my job at Walmart and I actually started working up in that kind of career and I became a manager and all of that.

And I know this is becoming a really long response, but I think this is a really interesting topic and I really like talking to people about what they did before they were a mom and how their life changed and all of that, so sorry for the long response, but I will finish up in the next one.

But then I got pregnant, I had a really awesome maternity leave, and once I had my son, everything kind of changed. And after the maternity leave, I told them that I wasn't going to come back, and I ended up being a stay-at-home mom for the next six months.

And just like our plan was before I got pregnant, after the six months I started looking for just a short little part-time job, and now I'm a receptionist, which leads me to asking you how did you become a remote receptionist?

Before I became pregnant, I was in school to become an RN. But then when I realized that I was pregnant, I was like, I don't know if I can do the scheduling and-

And I thought to myself, how am I going to have time to take care of my son if I'm going to be having 12 hour shifts and everything? I was thinking about everything, so then I decided, you know what, I think this is not going to work for me, so let me go back to art.

Yeah, my brother went to school to be an LPN and honestly it is a lot and I couldn't imagine being like, you know a fresh mother with a baby and being an RN and you know doing the shift work and everything but you know everything happens for a reason.
