Nowadays we see all these kids with smart phones apparently the average age a child gets the first small phone is 10 did you wait until 10 or will you wait until 10 to give your child the first smart phone so for my oldest he had an iPad since he was young that we used for learning games he could call or text us for me and he love to FaceTime with to give me a phone was a no his iPad a screen heart broke in 2021 and I was still doing Covid times they couldn't replace the screen and they didn't know when they could replace an iPad because it was childish and then at this time I was pregnant with my youngest we were told he wasn't allowed to come up to the hospital to see us or his father after he was born because of Covid with that news and the news that it could be months to get a replacement iPad for him we decided to get him his first iPhone So he could call and FaceTime us with us being in the hospital my oldest was eight years old when he got his first smart phone only because of the circumstances he's 10 now and we have a rule that he hast you and his phone each day he doesn't just have it to have it all the of the time I think that's better for him so he has a chance to be a kid and play with his toys and not be so attached to his phone on technology so what do you guys think how do you guys feel about your kids or have a smart phone and the age that you feel like they can have one

Yeah, I feel like Ten is a good age. I got my oldest, his first one at Ten. I feel like he was mentally mature enough for it, and I feel like that's really what you can base it off of. If you, they're immature and you feel like they're going to break it, well then no. Obviously not. Wait, so they're a little bit older. My mom didn't get me a phone and so I was 17. So mine's pretty damn lucky

No I did not wait until 10 years old my daughter got her first phone when she was six years old and it was used for medical purposes and also to stay in contact with me while she was away from me

I definitely feel like I'm gonna wait with my son until he's at least 11 12 and he has to earn up the money himself to have a phone and he has to earn the money every month to get like the phone card for it.
