So I don't know if anyone knows about this, but today is the last day of the AMPTP deal with the WGA. What does that mean? It means that all of the companies that own studios and all the companies that do business with the Writers Guild, right? So that means the television companies and the film companies, the people that show you stuff and make all the stuff, they have a deal with the Writers. and that deal runs out today so if they don't come off with a new deal by 10 night then tomorrow all of your favorite shows are on hold all your favorite films are on hold a lot of shows are gonna not not be made or they won't be on television tomorrow night in America you're not gonna be having your late night shows because the writers are on strike because they're not getting paid enough because they're being robbed by the studios when it comes to their residuals, when it comes to episode fees, when it comes to AI being used, when it comes to using mini writers rooms and the way that the business model has changed in the last 10-15 years and the way that writers have lost about a quarter of their income while a lot of these companies are making record profits year and year on year on year. So now that it's time to upgrade the deal these companies aren't trying to pay the rights so let's support the writers and hope that they can leverage their collective strength as a group and as a a guild to win what they want.
