OK this is low-key a stupid question because I already know the answer but do you think mental abuse is a real thing because I told my ex that he was mentally abusive verbally abusive with the stuff that he would say and constantly putting me down and he kind of just like laughed my face and was like mental abuse isn't real and I was like oh OK

You know, I always say there's no such thing as a stupid question when it comes to dating and relationships. So don't be so hard on yourself, even though you know the answer. And yeah, I do agree with you that mental abuse is very real. And actually, I was watching an episode of Caller Daddy, like the video version with Courtney Strodden or Strodden. And it came out last year and she talked so much about this subject. So I recommend you look up that episode or even just her in general

I think mental abuse is 100% real but I think that we're too sensitive to calling it what it is someone who just doesn't wanna listen to you put up with you is that mental abuse and mental abuse does exist I just think that someone doesn't agree with you isn't mentally abusing you
