Recently, I went on this amazing date during the day, mind you, with my partner, which was Knock on Wood Wonderful. Everything's great between us. One of the big things that we share is the love language of quality time. So I want to ask you, what's a good way to spend quality time together? Because summer's coming up and weather's getting warmer. So I'm thinking to myself, okay, I don't know if we should do something indoors or try to go somewhere like out of town, all suggestions are welcomed.

I think it always starts with a day where it's something that you both like, something that one person really enjoys, and then something that the other person really enjoys. That way it's a mix and you can really see the fruitfulness of enjoying time with each other.

I don't know why I didn't think of that idea sooner because for every other date we each have our own thing going right and then we just like share that with the other person but I never thought about doing it at the same time on the same date. I don't know why I never thought of that So thank you for suggesting that. Knock on wood it goes well for my upcoming one. So again, thank you

So me and my boyfriend go on runs together especially during the summer we go for runs we go for walks in the park park whenever we first got together one of the first things we bonded over was movie so now that will all year more than usual like we we go to see one movie at least like one movie a month and we both like to cook so those are just some things that we do and like I also like going to fairs and stuff and like you know going to the beach

Oh, that's actually so cool. You guys go and runs together because I'm a short distance runner. I really enjoy high intensity interval training better known as hit. But I don't know if my partner is really into long distance running. You know, I never asked him all the time we've been together. I know he likes going to like certain types of classes, but huh, you know what? I'm going to ask him that next time. So thank you for bringing that up. I mean, I'm not opposed to going on a run with him. I just want to look good, you know.

Something that has been very popular in New York is Pick a Ball. It's like mini tennis with a like whiffle ball, but I prefer tennis. But if you don't want to get too sweaty and too competitive and out of breath, I think pick up ball is a pretty cool thing to do outdoors.

But going out of town for the weekend for like a hike or like a small retreat I think that would be pretty fun too or even just a day trip

Oh my gosh, that's so interesting you mentioned that because Um on one of my most recent dates with my partner There was a tennis court nearby and we we were both looking at it and I In my head. I was like, oh, you know, I would love to play a game there when I get a chance But now that you brought this up, I feel like it's a sign that we should go. Thank you so much which I really, really appreciate your suggestion.

I also love the idea, by the way, of the road trip, like getting out of town for a bit because I'm in California, I'm pretty sure you know that by now, and I've actually never been to New York. And I know my partner has, like he has, but let's hope I convince him that we take a weekend trip across the country because I am so down to go see New York City especially, like I've seen it in all the movies, I have friends that live there, like I am down for a good time.

It definitely feels like both of our love languages are quality time because we enjoy it so much. One of the big things that we do is cook together and it feels like it doesn't feel like a chore. It feels like genuinely quality time. But everything we do feels like good quality time, whether it's, you know, going out, staying in, talking, walking, just existing in each other's presence just feels super nice.

Oh, I love how you brought up cooking together because that's genuinely something I love to do with my partner because knock on wood. He loves cooking. Like it actually really surprised me when we started seeing each other how much he enjoys being in the kitchen. And I'm like, oh, wow, because for every other relationship I've ever been in, I've been the chef. I've been like the one to, you know, get the meals going, but to have somebody share that and, you know, quality time, like you said, it doesn't feel like a chore at all. So I'm glad you brought this up.

For every other relationship I've been in, I've also always been the chef. And it's fine because I love to cook, I love to be in the kitchen, but it's such an incredible experience to have someone who enjoys it. visit and it's fun. And there she is.

I've always found that nature, sounds stupid, is a good way to like bring people together. Like whenever we do hiking trips, it's a good way to spend quality time with someone you're with. Spending the day either as a group or together doing a hike, you know, making food, playing games and then getting home at night and, you know, being together, watching a movie, you know, you get to relax and just kind of chill together at the end of the night. No, no, it's super relaxing. There's not like a whole list of things you have to go.

A good way to spend quality time with your significant other it's not only to plan date night it's a plan like activities so even if you guys just play a boardgame together learn a dance together paint do some kind of activity together
