So I talked about this very briefly earlier but I kind of had a breakdown about this today and I want to come back on here and talk about it more but I'm honestly like so sad that I don't have anyone to invite to throw my son a big birthday party like it just is one of those times where like it really hits you not having like a village not having a big family not having a lot of friends not really having anyone in your life you know And the only people who are like in another state so like my dad who's like our only family member really that we have he's in another state all of my step kids minus one are in another state and the one that's here and Florida is still four hours from us so it's just like it's just I'm so excited I'm so looking forward to it and I want to do everything I can to make him feel special and to celebrate him turning one but I'm also just like so sad like I really wish that I had a big family I really wish that I could throw a birthday party but I'd like the reality is if I throw my birthday party like it's just gonna be me and my husband and maybe like my one friend and maybe like his one friend Like I don't know I don't know it's just really hard sometimes it's just like I said one of those times were gets to me like not having anyone I'm not having anyone really and that's why I came online and started looking for mom friends online on social media because I truly don't have anyone in my life and I just want to say that if you are in the same boat like you're not alone And I totally I totally know what it's like and I'm so sorry

Hey Katie oh my gosh I can resonate with this so much my son just turned three and I also have like I would say a small village to like a solo village kind of mama and we as a small family of three ended up going on a little like road trip mini Vacay day trip for his birthday and you know it's definitely possible to find the light in like these kinds of things

This is how I felt growing up I had like no family at all no friends no nothing but a parents always it's only special for me and I always felt included in it helped a little bit so it's not that you're doing everything you possibly can and he'll enjoy every single moment with you and he won't miss what he doesn't have right and maybe one day you'll meet a bunch friends and have a big birthday party so We can't go on it as much as hard as it is

But also it's the same with my kids we have lots of family in the area but it's not like they really give that much effort into it so it's kind of like some of them do and then summer just like force in those ones I don't even bother talking to so it's hard having no village is really hard I have no real close friends or anything so I deafly feel you here

See that's the thing that's exactly like my childhood as well and That's what also like hurts even more I think and makes me like even more sad because I so like wanted him to not have that and not feel that way but Yeah, it's definitely really hard hold on hold on

OK I'm sorry I literally had to stop recording that to like actually catch my son mid air from like falling on his face but thank you for your answer it's nice to hear somebody else like relay and like make you feel like you're less alone like you're OK I caught you huh yeah but yeah I'll definitely agree like it's gonna be better OK

I know that it will change as he gets older and makes friends and yeah it just like I said when you have that as like your childhood you want like different for your kids so that's That's why it just sucks, but yeah.

Don't worry, mama. He's one. He really is not going to know. Just spend the day doing fun things with him. And know that as he gets older, he will make friends and he will have bigger birthday parties then. And chances are, you're going to make friends too. So, let's give it time, hon.

Thank you so much that's so true and I definitely need to remember that the first everything first feel like so big and so huge but really they're not like there's gonna be so many more birthdays and holidays where he's older and understands more and I keep saying like next year is going to feel more like the first because he's gonna be a toddler and he's gonna be able to participate so much more so yeah you're right

Hey mama I definitely feel you on this if we lived a lot closer I will definitely be there for you I completely understand how that is like how with all of my kids like no one was there like even like my oldest is a seven and no one has a game does birthday parties really except for like my side of the family but that's only like my mom and Doesn't

My grandpa my dad in law and then my little sister that's really about it and like a few of like close friends of mine in like a few close friends of for my husband side and then like nobody on my husband family comes to anything like at all like when my other toddler turned one no one came nobody and it was so disappointing

And like like I said it was like a few of your friends my side of the family that came to my sons birthday party when he turned one and that's it and then when my daughter turned one in the same with my family and everything a few friends and then like my husbands family came but they were absolutely rude and I'm like they showed up empty-handed as well like not even a birthday card

Turn after my daughter's party was over a guy and we invited my husband's family to come over to do the Easter egg hunt did you cake and presents you know hang out for a little bit nope they decided that they wanted to go out to dinner instead and do whatever they want to do go shopping and do all this other crap but But you just couldn't even make an effort at all

It's like seeing other people have like these big events and these big families and big happy families and like it's just like why do some people get that and some people don't you know like there are people who have it worse than me 100% like they're orphans who are like no family and stuff like that but it just why do some people get like the big huge happy family gatherings and other people get like you said like nothing no effort to show up without even a birthday card like that's just ridiculous

They have like a big like cookout gathering or like a party or anything we don't go just because like if you're not gonna make an effort for a one year olds birthday party you can't even get her like a birthday card that cost like three bucks at the store I'm not gonna make an effort to do anything for you at your party or whatever the case may be like I just don't I don't have energy for that

Oh yeah, I definitely didn't know how you feel. It's his first birthday. No one came except for the neighbors that we got to be really close with in our apartment. They were the only ones that came for his birthday.

That's so hard and first birthdays feel so important but at the same time it's one of those things that they're not gonna remember and as they get older they will meet people and have more friends and more people to invite to the parties

Oh girl I understand you I feel the same way and I feel like for me it's not necessarily that I don't really have the people I think it's the money that it would take to gather all those people in one place you know it's like having the venue having the food and having a decorations I think thinking of all of that as well overwhelms me and I just rather keep it like super super simple but if I have the money I think I'll be able to pull like a lot more people
