Okay, so Spotify is amazing because it has every single song that you could possibly ever want and it's so easy But they have these curated playlists. So there's like algorithms and computers feeding us new music and telling us That we would like something because it sounds like something else we've liked before So it means that everything kind of sounds the same this starts saying sounding the same And there's not a human element or room for a lot of difference In all and some of it. I don't know if I believe this do you believe that what do you think?

Now, there's a saying called, all good things must come to an end. Spotify was lit back then, but right now, I don't see it. It's kinda shit.

I think it's a really good way to put it. I mean, things change and that's just how it is. Otherwise, we'd be our dinosaurs.

I mean, there's always been somebody curating the music though. And sure, Spotify uses machine learning, but I mean, there's also that human element, the marketing team behind it, like, you know, before Spotify, the radio was doing the exact same thing.

I like records too. They're really hard to carry around with me, but I do like records. It's cool. And then it's also cool, like back when you didn't carry around your own music, you'd have to listen to the music of where you were. And I think we were probably more tolerant.

I still dig it and I think Spotify is the ultimate music streaming app we have right now because it's still way better than Apple Music in my opinion.

I'm 100% with you. I mean, I only listen to Spotify. I don't think I listen to almost anything else. Um, so yeah, I mean, I still consume it. But, it's kind of crazy.

Yes is music isn't a service and they've made it a service it used to be some stuff that you owned and you had it and Now you have to pay for it every month or four years you won't listen to the music

I will say though, I think I spend less money on music now, even buying the Spotify like $15 a month plan than I did back when, like the CD days, because I would buy certainly at least a CD a month, but I also buy a lot of music.

Yes, it used to be that you bought something and you owned it. Spotify have now made it so that music is a service that you have to pay every month for and if you can't then you lose access to your music collection.

I totally agree with you. Like music is not a service and it's kind of crazy how we like just commodify it. And it's kind of like. I've to think about like how we turn into things so that people can consume it really quickly.

That's so interesting you brought that up. In my case, I actually stay away from those playlists and instead type in a keyword in the search bar to find other people's playlists so I can just like see what's going on or I'll just listen to podcasts.

Yeah, other people's playlists could be like a goldmine. I think the trick is to find the right one. And like, also, it's so interesting how some people do it by mood, other people do it by like, activity, or by like, genre. I think it's...

I don't think it's ruining music. I mean if you really wanted to Spotify offers options to listen to different music if you actually looked for it.

No I love Spotify I think it's the best music platform and they're making it so easy to discover new music based on what you do already like and I love their new AI DJ feature
