So I'm going to start teaching tomorrow, my very first assignment, and I did pick a higher need school because I'm the kind of girl that I go balls to the wall. I don't just, when I leap, I fucking leap. I'm the first to jump off a motherfucking plane. I'm the first to do crazy stuff in a group setting. And so I was like, why not pick a really difficult school as my first school. Let's rip off the bandaid. So I'm going to a more difficult higher needs school because you know the kids need it. And I would like to know, putting yourself in let's say the kids shoes right? What is something that you wish your teacher gave you that you never received or didn't receive often enough And you feel like if you received this from your teachers, it would have had helped you with self-esteem and build a certain kind of character. What do you wish you received from your teachers? More often. Thank you so much for your input and I'm really, really excited. drop down your answers below. Peace.

I'm a teachers explain why some thing is some thing I feel like they need to get frustrated to keep explaining some thing I just want you to understand it the way they said but if they could like explain why something is some thing and I don't have a great example right now but yeah maybe that maybe that spark something

Thanks for the share. I feel like sometimes teachers are in such a rush to get onto the next thing to make sure everybody is like moving in a herd but quickly and sometimes some students just have different learning styles. So I kept this in mind at the beginning of this week and what I did is for the students to need a little bit more hands-on with learning, I have them huddled by my desk so I can give them that one-on-one attention. But this is valid. Thank you for sharing.

I love this for you I think it's super amazing what you're doing especially like how you're going to a school with more higher needs when you probably had an option to like choose a school that didn't so good for you

Thanks girl. I feel like all kids need love. That's it. Love, attention, and to be heard. You know? Scene. Going back to the question, what do you say? If teachers did more of this, it would have helped me more with this. What do you think that teachers could give more to kids nowadays?

Or what do you wish teachers did more for you when you were in school? And it could have possibly shaped your character in a more stronger or different direction, if that makes sense.

As brilliant well done and quite frankly I think it comes down to individual needs and understanding that people have different understandings of the same thing and You know a lot of teachers especially after they've been in the game for a while They get tired they get sick of it and it starts showing and things like calling people out in class When it went when they don't necessarily know Something etc. Or if they're not done something they should have done I mean this because people have different things that motivate them they understand different things

So if you can actually understand the individual needs and understand that they are very different from person to person and obviously cater to that, which I know is extremely difficult because you're going to be dealing with a lot of kids, right? But that would make you unstoppable. I mean, you would be the best. I mean, the few teachers, the handful of teachers that I've actually enjoyed having over the years when I was a kid were people who were able to do that and understood everything. and I wasn't an easy kid and people who understood me and did that I did everything for them.

Incredible response. Thank you so much for sharing Kent and yeah, I agree with you every single kid has different needs Some kids drive off of being more independent Some kids need and would like that extra hands-on attention Some kids are hands-on learners visual learners. I mean I mean, the list goes on, so tuning into the different needs is essential.

Well you've got to keep us posted on how this goes, maybe you can do a lot of soundbites for others in similar positions of what works and what doesn't work when you are an educator. Yeah, sounds like you're going to kill it. You're going to kill it. You've got the right attitudes And you have a very kind voice. So yeah, I think this is gonna be brilliant. Let us know.
