So to all my bilingual moms do you teach your challenge your first language for example for me I speak Spanish Spanish is my first language I only speak to her in Spanish my husband only speaks to her in Spanish I would say mostly everyone in my family speaks to her in Spanish I preferred for her to learn Spanish because I know she will learn English when she attends school But I also don't want her to feel you can see left out when she goes to school because I know that many nowadays don't speak Spanish or any other language but I'm thinking or we are thinking of sending her to a dual immersion school where they will be teaching her the most in Spanish and a little bit of English and throughout the grade will change and take first day tickets 80% Spanish 20% English and then it was to 7030 6040 and then 5050 and like that I just want to know if you're a bilingual mom if you teach your child your first language

Yes absolutely so with my son even though we do live in North America my first language was Spanish so for the first two years of his life I only spoke Spanish and exposed him to that because he knew that English would come just from his environment and I'm really grateful because he's 10 now and he still knows how to speak it and he's learning how to write it and read it out to you and that's some thing I'm really grateful for

So my sister when she started preschool she was really advanced with her English she still spoke Spanish light at home but she would watch videos on pronunciations words colors so she had a Headstart and I think it's very useful just because like she learned how to spell her name and write her name before everyone else so I think it's a good idea when it comes to bilingual giving a Headstart not only in English but in Spanish

Yeah I feel like I'm in I feel like I would try to speak Spanish on them because my boyfriend doesn't speak Spanish so try to get them more bilingual and then he can speak to them in English I thought I guess I'll probably try to do but I have to like really practice my Spanish because I feel like it's a little rusty

I don't have any kids but I would definitely teach them Spanish as babies. I would say both simultaneously and if possible a third language while they're still little like below seven so they can I don't know I learn at least three languages. Really good.
