I've never personally used WIC and I have heard that it's kind of a pain in the ass just like anything else you know trying to get something from the government it's a pain in the ass but to my knowledge it will not ever affect your credit score.

I used WIC for the first year of my kid's life. I had a good experience with it. You get a lot of stuff for free. Basically, there is a list of qualifying products and there's an app that you can scan the bar codes to make sure that the product qualified.
