Okay Queen Donatello what another one. Y'all should have known I'm coming with him. I'm on my bullshit on this early Sunday morning. So you see the question how old is too old to be just starting your rap career? Ladies is you sticking beside your man as he's 40 plus starting a rap career? No judgment. I just want to know.

Art and expression doesn't have a shelflife I think that systematic thinking because we've been trying to do that I also think many entertainers there's many people that started their career later on in life and I think that if someone wants to put the work

Put the work in because 15 seconds in enough then I think that's OK there's no judgment there God don't want to judge nobody and if you have something to say speak up the time is now

That's right, Brad, you say that, okay? You want to be 50 and you want to become a rap artist? Do that. Hey, listen, presidents, besides the few younger ones we've had, they become presidents like 60, 70 years old.

And I do want to agree with you on the first thing you said about art and expression has really no age limit and I agree with that 100%.

Rap is poetry. It also changes the game if someone older gets up there and creates a brilliant career. So there ain't nothing wrong with it. I also see some internet personalities that are older that can spit fire.

Do you think that opportunity, and I'm pretty sure it does, plays a huge role in this? Like, you could be a very talented rap artist, but you just haven't had the opportunities as other people, and maybe you get that opportunity a lot later in life.

Well, I'll say this I ain't 50 and I'm far from that but I will say that I Do write music and I think our dreams are Our creativity and things we're passionate about are brought to us by God

Donatella, what's poppin', what's crackin', what's shakin' love? Mmm. Well, you asked a very specific question about career. And I'm gonna say like, past 35, you might as well hang it up. Just being real.

Now listen to what you and Brad was going back and forth about and I do think that this is a clear distinction. If you are just trying to be an artist, there is no limit on that. You can do that as you want at any point in time. Because you are expressing yourself as an artist.

But Donatella, you specifically asked about how old is too old to start a rap career. And the reason why I say this is because just like sports, rap is a young man's game. Who is really investing in a 65 year old rapper? Let's be real.

And anyone who's an artist, please express yourself do it to the best of your capabilities and have fun doing it But reality is reality and if you are trying to be Make a career out of rap at 45 the the opportunities are super super small

And I know I know Two chains was 35 when he got on yeah But he had been rapping for like 19 years and he's like the one outlier I will sit here and wait for y'all to bring up five rappers who came on into the game at 35. I'll wait.

And no I'm not hating I'm not trying to down nobody I'm just letting you I'm just letting anyone know that is like Yo, I want to try and make it as a rapper as a career at like 35 like you got like a 1% chance out of like 99%

Say that shit FNG because you know what I do my soundbites for real shit. If you're right I said rap career career And I don't know who's investing in getting behind a 65 year old rapper. I agree with you 100% on that.

So another question, our stereo fellas who create music and rap and shit, uh, is very artistic. Ha! Would you recommend that they leave it there at just the artistic part and not try to make a career out of it?

no comment I plead the fifth one two three four fifth one two three four fifth nah um I think there are a lot of good talented people on here you know but talent doesn't equal a career in my opinion so it's up to how hard they want to work

I would say this, you know, if a 41 year old woman could sell her armpit hairs on ******** and make thousands, why can't a 40 plus year old man that has a lot of wisdom and a lot to say start a rap career? I don't know.

Yeah, but it's not a question necessarily of if a 40, 50 year old man or woman should rap. It's about starting a career. Can you have a successful rap career at that age?
Reply
Copy link to post
But I mean it's all about the market right and what's the market asking for I don't know Nowadays it looks like they want 20 year old rappers with no wisdom talking about shit They never experienced versus a 40 year old man talking about real life shit that he has experienced and could get some perspective

Yeah, I definitely agree. It's about the consumer, you know So it's not to say that you maybe cannot study start a rap career at that time Um, but yeah, just a question. I want to see how what people feel about it.

I really don't know much about this question but I feel like if you're not pursuing what you want especially like in the industry at an earlier age it's a very hard case so I 25 my cap

Starting um I mean if you have another job and this is kind of like a side thing like an artistry that you can kind of build, you could be any age but um yeah you got to have that other job.

I do like how you laid that out, Sarah. I agree with the whole of it and comment. Yes, artistry knows no bounds. I definitely agree with that.
