Cultural competency is important on the job. Should people understand more about the people they want to serve and work with in their new jobs? Should they be eager to recruit and staff people from diverse backgrounds? And should they have equal pay amongst all groups?

It is imperative to provide equity and quality payment to people who come into a certain culture to provide us a particular service.

Thank you for that input. I ended up quitting one of my jobs because one of my co-workers that was coming in from Haiti, they were paying him less than they were paying me and I feel like he He was really exceptional at the job so because of that I ended up quitting.

Girl, that's a mouthful right there first of all. Yes, it is important to understand your audience and who you're catering to. I have personally seen the consequences of people who attempt to cater to people and didn't take the time to do that research.
