So I need to go into your phone settings and look at your screen time if your screen time consistently is over five or six hours a day then I would advise doing something called a tech detox now there is is a day where you touch no technology so you're not looking at your phone you're not watching TV you're not even turning on the light alright it's just you going out into nature doing a walk hike meditating reading a book eating healthy food and completely disconnecting yourself from this World What is does is that it resets your brain your dopamine receptors on being fried by the ongoing onslaught of information from your device and gives you a whole new level of peace and relaxation that I think you'll find very refreshing if anyone does try this please let me know I do it once a week once in a while then once a month and it had immeasurable impact on my daily well-being so yeah look forward to hearing anyone's results

And like during this detox/fast when I was walking into the woods I just felt so much more like connected to myself and to the earth 100% suggest taking a break from tech

Yeah that's amazing sounds all you did was like a full on dopamine detox which is like a whole other level but I love that they're walking in the woods and feeling connected to the other again that's one thing we miss being in such a tech driven society

It's just so crazy how so many people are disconnected from like the earth in nature because the nature is us earth is us the cycles that earth goes through the seasons the way plants grow that's us as well

We would all just be so more connected to ourselves and each other if we were more connected to the earth and less connected to technology

So, I can assure you without looking at my phone that I do need a tech detox. Because, yeah. Oh my god. But, this weekend I'm going with a wonderful lady to a wonderful place in North Greece and I'm gonna try to do it then.

I totally agree with this. I think a tech detox is like one of the best things that we could do for ourselves. And I think also looking into everyday life of like how you can minimize it might be good.

Yeah for sure and if we can put that energy into other more healthy and productive activities then your overall general happiness and well-being will improve

That sounds like a great idea bro I don't wanna lie to anyone here and say that it's achievable for me right now but I will deafly come on time in my life I'm sure where that might actually be the only solution to a lot of my problems

It's deafly not easy to do with our day-to-day lives being revolver on technology so much but if you can never find a time is it you have to be a day it could just be in a couple hours in the evening we just don't touch your mobile phone anything like that and I think it benefit

I get notifications and I'm horrified at how much I'm on my phone, but it's hard not to be because everything I do like work wise is on my phone so I'm stuck.

No for sure and I'll bring the wire to like reactor notification quickly we wanna miss out on anything we wanna be up-to-date with stuff but as soon as you can like release yourself from that kind of compulsion you'll find yourself way more relaxed

It's definitely so important to take breaks from technology. One time I did this to like an extreme level like I took a break from my cell phone. I didn't speak for 24 hours and I didn't eat for like 24 hours either like I just drink water.

I don't think social media and technology detoxes are super healthy also so hard to do nowadays with work online and just having to communicate online with everything

No I totally and to be fair like a social media detox is usually as good as a general take the task that's where we spend most of the time and it is very hard to do nowadays especially with work and communication but the more we can try to do it the more benefit

This is really cool that you posted about this because I actually started to put my phone away at night and just try to go to sleep or read and it's been so helpful my screen time is down
