So I just ordered a very heavy bookshelf off Amazon and got it delivered and I live up a few flight of stairs with no elevator so the dude would only bring it to the entrance he would not take it upstairs what do you guys think about that so what I did was my only option really because I tried pushing it up one flight and that was not gonna happen for the rest of the way I couldn't do it I open the box I took it apart and I had to make like five trips up and down the stairs and that was definitely a work out and you know what I needed to work out it was like strength training and cardio but yeah now I'm afraid to order other furniture off Amazon
Somebody used to work for Amazon the workers are not treated well they're not accommodated for they try their best and I hope that the customers understand that and they don't fucking get paid for shit for what they do they get put through so much
Yeah it's not enough for the fucking company I mean Amazon it's so convenient it is but they don't treat their workers well and I really feel for you that you had to do that that sucks but I still feel for that fucking worker because working for Amazon
Working for Amazon is honestly the seventh circle of help. I couldn't fucking last a month there. I got mad respect for Amazon workers. I fucking feel for them and honestly if you ever have a problem with your order
Go to customer service and say something especially for a prime member They will compensate you for some shit like maybe only five ten bucks But hey, you know what you deserve it after you having to do that but that worker deserves more shit, too They deserve to get paid more.
The funny thing about Amazon is, if you're four days sick within a three month span, even with a doctor's note, they will fire you. They don't fucking care about you. Nobody looks at you. You feel not real. You don't feel like a fucking person.
So that's why I say I got mad respect for people that work at Amazon but get that compensation if you had to do something or had to wait like that's very unfortunate but fuck Amazon like great convenience but they treat their workers like shit I don't have to say
It is and it's unfortunate because when I was working there there was a sky that's been there for two years and it's sad because he's like yeah get used to the manager's not talking or look at you but coming around with a computer and cart watching you for an hour like what the fuck
I am so sorry you had to go through that I've gone through very shitty jobs and I'm all about workers rights so fuck Amazon I think a solution that I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna be downstairs with like a β¬20 in my hand an offer to pay
So, I mean, you know, I think it would be nice if he would have helped more, but then again, if it was too heavy for him, you know, he's not a mover. So...
Exactly that's why I wasn't even mad about it I just took the box apart and like took up pieces up at a time and then what I'm gonna do next time is like bring some cash down with me and offered to pay them because I know they don't get paid well
Yeah it's like a condo building but same thing apartments but there's no elevator and next time I'm gonna just come downstairs with money and try to bribe them
OK yeah I kind of figured it was apartment building most apartment buildings they are like that I think they have a policy where the delivery guy can't come upstairs so yeah next time just go downstairs and do it that way but
Yeah, that's a really, really nice idea because it's acknowledging that they're not getting paid with their worth and it's helping them out. I would do the same thing for sure.
Honestly, that's like what CrossFit is. It's like here. Let's assemble things and throw really heavy things like tires around So you basically did CrossFit But that is bullshit. They should have a delivery service for big things like that.
