So what are some homeschooling pros and cons My son I think a pro and P that he would get one on one time and he can't get as much is that you know being in public school and con would be that he wouldn't have as much time with other children like his age

So I actually was homeschooled since middle school since sixth grade and I definitely see a lot of pros and cons to it and I think the biggest thing that I think about is

Or like the biggest thing that I used to think about, I guess, is just not having all of those like normal public school Experiences but nowadays the things that are normal in public school are not things that I want my kids to experience

And I think that it is harder to get them to socialize but at the same point if you have the time and you put in the effort there's a lot of co-ops there's even a school that I went to where everybody was homeschooled and we all just did our own separate work

I don't know it's hard and I think there is definitely going to be some thing where like if my kid gets to the point of like middle school and high school and like he wants to not be homeschooled anymore like I think I would let him I don't know because

This response is getting way too long but I think just knowing how I felt about it when I was homeschooled and how I felt like I was missing out I never want my kids to feel that way and I think that I would allow him to make the choice once he gets old enough but until then I seen

But until then I say no I I really think I'm going to homeschool God willing I'm able to you know financially and timewise and stuff like that but I think I'm just gonna find a way to make it work because it's a scary freaking world out there in public school now

So I definitely agree with what you're saying I was never home school I was always in public school but for my child I think that would be best for him he's got some speech delays and he really needs that 101

That one on one time where it can just be me and him and you know I can go at his pace and work in therapies too I'm not saying cut off like

And he's going to be in 4-H and sports coming up when he turns five he'll be able to do sports in the league that's near us and yeah I definitely want to put him in all that I don't want him to feel left out

OK and yeah the way the world is I would feel better with him with me at home you know if there comes a point where he wants to go to public school and he's ready for that then yeah but right now I think he would do better with me

Did you have a problem making friends or socializing during that time that you're being homeschooled feel like that's a that's quite an age to be homeschooled without another social aspect of high school or middle school

I've been thinking more about this recently and then trying to weigh out the pros and cons of what I think the best situation is for my son when he gets that age

I definitely think it's something to look into. This is his second year pre-k and we're not seeing the growth that we would like and his teachers are amazing, but it's just not working for him.

So homeschooling pros I definitely would say that you can like set your own hours and like really take a mental day but for like cons you're going to be nonexistent in your social life

The rest day sounds great and I pretty much don't have a social life anyways, so it'll be alright.

I was homeschooled for a while as a kid and I don't think it's the worst thing but there are a lot of pros and cons to it like I can't can we

Like some people have said that it doesn't help that social and that's true so I'm not gonna say it but another thing is that they do you have to work that they're meant to do because because it's more than one time

Do you only have to do like one thing like half a day so a lot of the sort of a responsibility is that they feel like they need to go down the drain if you don't keep that on schedule

And if you don't do you like the half a day thing or just sort of leaves at mine because it's way too much information is taken sometimes it's better when there's multiple people teaching you and you're in a environment where you can ask other people crush

I heard that homeschool kids are more likely to turn into serial killers and like have psychological problems and I feel like your kid just doesn't even socialize.

So my kid is a social butterfly and we do other things so you know he is going to school right now but I feel like pulling him out would be the best for him so

So before becoming a mom I used to always say I would homeschool my kids and once they became school age I decided homeschooling just wasn't for me it It wasn't very realistic because of my schedule.

And also to be completely honest like I need to break from the kids so when they became school age I was looking forward to them starting school and it just felt good to go run errands and do what I have to do during the day while there at school.

Homeschooling the only positive about it is if you are completely qualified and able to provide it but there's just so many negatives like regardless of the actual education side of it but even just a social

As a former homeschooler myself I do see how the social aspect can be weird but if you put your kids in enough sports and activities I think the kids should be fine
