I think the difference is that our Christmas is only celebrated one day and then Ramadan is the whole month I don't know if I'm wrong with this information

It's considered one of the holiest months for Muslims and it is marked by a period of fasting considered one of the five pillars of Islam

During this month we try to do as much good deeds helping others, giving food to the poor, as well as other things like conducting good character.

When we fast there are many benefits for a body it's like a detoxifying it helps your blood sugar it helps your sleep patterns hypertension etc.

We have some Muslims as well believe that there are rewards for fasting so when you fast during Ramadan or do anything good deeds you get rewards for spiritual rewards

So in a shorter words basically Ramadan is the second month Marked one God sent an angel to the prophet Muhammad peace be upon him to reveal the Quran

The purpose of Ramadan is to grow spiritually closer to God you're not to your family to to helping the poor to abstaining from eating and drinking and pleasures in life smoking drinking etc.

Donating to charities, spending time with loved ones, avoid lying, avoid gossiping and fighting and etc. But I hope that can answer your question. Much love to you.
