Did your parents or carers ever lie to you to make you eat your own food? For example, they told you that carrots would make you see in the dark.

The carathing, yes, but especially spinach, they were trying to convince me to eat spinach so I'll get stronger.

I really don't think that my parents ever told me that but I grew up just believing it because everyone else around me always said it it was in movies and TV shows and a joke that was always made but I don't think my parents ever actually said it

Yep, I definitely got told if you don't eat your carrots you won't be able to see. or would give you good eyesight.

And my folks definitely told me eat your carrot so you would have good eyesight or you wouldn't be able to see in the dark.
