Walgreens announced a few years ago that they were planning to close 900 stores by 2024. There's total 9,000 Walgreens in the country, so that's 10% of all their stores they're planning to close, or have closed up until this date. I mean, this is just going to happen. You're going to unfortunately have some communities where the residents really rely on those stores, and they're not going to be there anymore. Unfortunately, that's just how corporations are. They're not charities.

Unlabeled, I find it really problematic that you would choose to use this clip talking about Walgreens being closed down and then using footage that's obviously edited on the clip to show people shoplifting as if that has something to do with why that Walgreens is being closed or if that has anything to do with racism.

One question, Unlabeled. Do you have a source or evidence that that store in particular is being closed due to them rioting or them looting the store?

Listen brother Malik you're asking surface-level questions, which leads me to believe that you really don't understand the nuance in how Corporations and public relations and capitalism kind of all works together Like you're not gonna find these surface-level answers because Walgreens is already being called racist So, of course, they're not gonna come right behind that and say yeah We're closing all our stores because of these black crimes Like they're not gonna say that bro Like what they're gonna do is try to brush it off as something else because they want to make a good Measured business decision

Yeah, look, Malik, I know that the clip is edited, but I think it's edited for good purpose because it brings context to the situation and, you know, kind of helps understand partially why Walgreens is shutting up shop in a lot of these communities. It's because it's just not worth it for them business-wise anymore. It's like that contributes to them closing down stores because they're losing profits because of the cultural norms in these communities.

Like, I believe without the context and without the nuance, a lot of people would just take this story and just look at it as face value and say, well, I guess Walgreens is just racist. You know, they're done using these people in poverty and now they're just up and leaving them high and dry because they hate black people. Like, that's what a lot of people would think when they don't have the proper context.

Yeah, but this looks disgraceful because, you know, they shouldn't be doing this to people, you know. And why have they got less shops in America? It's disgraceful. They need to make their Walmart everywhere.
