To me a mentor is someone who helps teach you in a specific field or a specific topic. Someone who knows their field. Like I'm a mentor of swordplay and various other crafts to my 11 year old son. So my son looks up to me as his mentor even though I'm his father.

Just as love and affection as a son to a father. I don't charge for my services, never have, never will. My gifts were given to me for free, so therefore I do it for free. If I did it, I would have been a millionaire by now, twice-fold. Of all the people who I've taught.
