Today we also decided to go to like a foot store and I've been on the hunt for a new pair of like daily sneakers that are actually good for my feet. My feet won't hurt at the end of the day and just like you know I've put a lot of thought into it and like you're on your feet all day like it's important to have something that like works with you instead of working against you and like I have really flat feet so I don't really need to wear really flat shoes. But I have worn vans like my whole life so just trying to find a good daily sneaker. And so we went to this foot store and I got my foot measured and everything and they basically just pulled out a bunch of shoes that were like these would just make your life a lot easier like just being on your feet and all that kind of stuff. And I did not realize the difference in some of these shoes. I went from the shoes that I was wearing to the shoes I tried on at the store and my whole posture, gait, everything about my walk, how I was standing just changed. And it was so weird because I almost felt like a release of pressure on my lower back. Which, if the pressure on my lower back is because I've been wearing the wrong shoes, I'm gonna be pissed. I just thought it was because I had this big old fat ass, and I'm just joking. I thought it was because of me like lifting but um yeah so I found a pair of shoes that I like I'm just waiting to order them I got new insoles and that just changed my shoes completely so making little baby steps in the right direction um hopefully this kind of helps with my posture and everything and I don't look like a hunchback. I'm just standing.
Yes this is so important having the right shoes for the kind of workouts that you're doing like I am a runner and if I have the wrong shoes I get plantar fasciitis I'll get shin splints it's just like not a good situation I tell people this all the time especially for running or even like lifting weights and it's probably better to have flatter shoes more stability
Yes, I usually wear a flat shoe, but I also found a good cross training shoe that I really like to use. As the Nike Metcon freeze, they have cushion so it's not so hard on my feet but they're still I guess was quiet and I lived in them.
