Alright, so with the new Evil Dead coming out this weekend, it kind of brings up that old topic of which is better, Evil Dead 1 or 2. 1 was obviously the original, Sam Raim is the original, and he was like 20 years old. And then 2 isn't a sequel, it's basically like a redo, but with like bigger budget, you know, when they had like better attention from the first one. So normally people edge out on they go with Evil Dead 2, but I'm curious to hear what people think on which they like better.
Having never seen either of these this is not an opinion of should respect but I will say that I have a theory that you should never remake with a high budget something that you created at a little budget stage I think there's room for a complete reimagination of something but if you just kinda clean up something with the better budget it's always gonna just be significantly worse to me in my
Well, it was certainly interesting. I wouldn't say that they just completely redid the same thing. The general story is still the same, but they didn't even really improve on the practical effects from the first one. They kind of just applied them to more places. Like, it's just more insane. So there are definitely parts, like more iconic parts I like more in the new one versus is the old. They both had their place though. It was certainly interesting. I, you know.
