So how did we feel about the Dungeons & Dragons movie? I thought the trailer looked fucking abysmal. I had no hope this was gonna be any good. Little did I know, it was directed by the people who did Game Night, another fantastic comedy. And it was fabulous, fantastic. I can't even speak. It was very good, and the CGI was good, and the practical effects were good, and it was fucking funny. Which I did not expect at all. And I know nothing about the game or any of that stuff, any of the lore, any of that. But my friends of mine that do said that it fell in line with the background, like everything kind of matched up and they liked the kind of Easter eggs it has. But I kind of like that just it wasn't like only Easter eggs, right? That it was good for game people and it was good for regular movie people. But I haven't really heard anyone that didn't like it or didn't like it because of some things from the game or whatever from the lore. So I'm interested to hear what other people think on it.
