I don't know if any of you guys are familiar with the show Catfish, but if you have seen the show, please let me know. It's a MTV show that's actually streamed on Hulu, and at least that's where I watch it. And honestly, I've been a fan of the show over the years, and it's really eye-opening to why people choose to do what they do, offline and online in their lives. And nine out of the ten times, I can't help but feel, you know, some sort of way, you know, in terms of sadness. when I hear these stories, because you can see that people are so wanting to have love and feel desired, be wanted in some way or shape or form, and to see these situations play out, like I said, is really eye-opening. So I just really wanted to hear if you guys have seen it, And if you have, let me know what you think of it.
Yeah, I've watched catfish a few times. I really enjoy catfish. I like the whole detective part of it and when they really get down into like figuring out who it is and sometimes it's so so so shocking But I don't know over the past couple of years. I think it's kind of gone downhill kind of like any TV or thing like that like it's kind of gone downhill, which is sad, but yeah.
Yes, I absolutely love the detective work and what I love even more now is as much as I adored Max on the show having Cami on and seeing her perspective like a woman's perspective, you know, because I always joke around that Women can research things better than the FBI. I mean, I'm pretty sure you've seen the memes about that too but seriously having her on the show has been a game changer for me and again really eye-opening.
I've seen it and I have to say like it's got to be staged I mean some of the things that they have are just so wild that I just can't believe that that that kind of trickery exists I'm sure it does but for them to find it I don't know it just seems to put together
I totally agree with you to an extent because it surprises me how even though the show's been on for over a decade and we learned so much about internet safety that people just genuinely are baffled what comes across in these type of situations. And the earlier seasons you can tell that it's very genuine but as the time and you know the show progresses you know we learn these things right so I see where you're coming from.
