OK so I've shared a few times already that like I am struggling hard to get enough sleep in my problem is this like I just can't fall asleep I typically would eat edibles but I am currently waiting to be drug tested and stuff for a new job so I can't really do that right now but my sleep schedule is so horrible right now and it's really kind of taking a toll on me so I wondered if you guys had any ideas or suggestions I've tried melatonin I didn't really work well for me and I've also tried like CBD gummy's Also didn't work that great and I just seem to fight it off so I'm open to suggestions and like I said it's really healthy is whenever I eat an edible but I can't do that right now
So there's two things you got to figure out what is keeping you up. Do you have racing thoughts or do you have nightmares? Like figure out what's the cause of that For me, I used to have insomnia because my brain would literally replay like conversations that I've had and like thinking over thinking about everything And then I would have the worst nightmares.
And what ended up stopping it was EMDR therapy because it turns out that my nightmares and a lot of my rumination stemmed from unresolved trauma that was kind of like stuck in my brain. And it was like I wasn't conscious that it was there but it would keep me up at night or I would have anxiety at night or racing thoughts at night. And after I did the EMDR that went away and so once that barrier is gone
once that was gone I stopped having nightmares. I don't get nightmares often. I get them a few times like during really stressful situations in my life but for the most part they're gone. and then I also listen to the honest guys on YouTube. they do like meditations but they have British accents and they're super calm. and there's a particular one that I really like. it's like the cave of jewels or something like that? I forget the name of it. I wish I could link it.
But yeah, listen to them because they have really calming meditations. They have meditations for people who hate meditations. So definitely try them out because that was like the winning combo, therapy plus meditation. Or I listened to Michael Singer. He has talks on the website, Temple of the Universe. He's a spiritual speaker, but I like to listen to him and kind of zone out because he sounds
he sounds like a really calm kind grandpa telling you a bedtime story and the stuff he talks about isn't like innately spiritual it's like about accepting reality and like the way he talks is just super peaceful and calming and i just like to listen to him and fall asleep to his voice so that is another thing again it's michael singer through his website temple of the universe and yeah that helps.
I've actually never heard of an DRA but I am I'll look into it and sometimes it's definitely be overthinking things but other times I don't know I'm just very restless and I might've been trying to figure out why I'm so restless when it comes to sleeping
So I think it's very important to like maintain my sleep hygiene so I'm just making sure that you have a completely blackout room of us not using any screens Our before bad things like that
