Did you know that if you consume more antioxidant rich foods omega-3 fatty acids and if you're consuming less processed sugary inflammatory-based foods your skin is more resilient against UV induced sunburn so what this means is if you are reducing the amount of inflammatory foods like sugar processed foods fast food microwave meals those kinds of things and you're consuming a lot of omega-3 fatty acids found in nuts and seeds in a wild caught fish are blueberries broccoli you know the pasture raised eggs those kinds of things your skin as an organ is going to become more resilient to UV induced sunburn because your body is consuming ingredients And properties obviously that help to combat free radical damage caused by UV so if you look at statistics 200 years ago people didn't have access to sunscreen but people were outdoors all the time and didn't have the levels of skin cancer as we see nowadays now that's because predominantly of lifestyle and diet people were not consuming such inflammatory-based foods obviously the environment was different but for the most part it was because of the resiliency of their skin because of their diet and lifestyle so this isn't to say that I don't recommend using sunscreen I still use a great mineral natural sunscreen but because I'm consuming a lot of omega-3 fatty acids and I have a well balanced diet I noticed that my skin is less prone to UV induced sunburn people didn't get as much cancer 200 years ago as they are today and there was no use of sunscreen so let that be a food for thought because skin is Essentially just an organ that reflects what's going on inside
