So there's two different kinds of fears there's a spirit of fear and then there's natural fear the spirit of fear is when you have constant fear it disables you a cripples you and it paralyzes you from progressing in life you have debilitating thoughts negative thoughts all the time you're not able to do anything because you're always anxious you're always fearful and your default always goes back to that so someone who experiences severe anxiety I would say for the most part Probably under oppression of a spirit of fear that your fear on the other hand would be like myself if I'm on the 30th floor of a condo I'm scared I get sweaty and clammy hands cause I just don't like to be up in the air that high but it doesn't prevent me from living my life I still have a clear mind and in the Bible it says I have not given you God says I have not given you the spirit of fear but of power and of love and a sound mind so if you're not operating out of a spirit of love if you're not operating in the spirit of power or out of a sound mind that you're operating in the spirit of fear and so for me what I would recommend if you are experiencing a spirit of fear that it's crippling you it's disabling you from progressing in life you have lots of high anxiety seek Jesus the blood of Jesus literally has the ability to free and deliver you from that kind of oppression I have seen it firsthand myself I'm not seeing And that there isn't room for counselling that there isn't room for medication when that is needed but the blood of Jesus and the name of Jesus can deliver you from anxiety and from the spirit of fear it is a true spirit and its aim is to destroy you and preventing you from living in freedom and wholeness where you have peace of mind because the opposite of that fear is the shalom of God the true peace of God
So I think this is an interesting topic I'd like to ask a question. So you talk about the spirit of fear as being the psychological tendency of a human that is kind of above the emotion of fear. The emotion of fear is like the natural version, but the spirit of fear is like our subjective response to that emotion. And you talk about how Christ can get us through that. But to me, we're only dealing in the psychological realm. Does Christ have to be real in your theory or is he simply a mechanism of the mind to get through something like fear?
Jesus Christ can deliver you from the spirit of fear so when I had crippling anxiety when I had panic attacks it didn't matter what counsellor I went to or what coping mechanisms I used I was only getting to the fruit but I was not getting to the route and by the power of the name and authority of Jesus Christ I was able to be set free permanently of the spirit of free therefore the panic attacks didn't come back and the anxiety was completely removed it is it is due
My psychological health was restored not because I was coping with it but because I was set free and as the word says who's that who the son sets free is free indeed so there is a difference between having fear of some thing like I said a fear of heights I don't need to be delivered from that because if I'm not on high ground I'm not anxious but having anxiety and panic attacks is some thing that I need to be set free from because it's stunted me from moving forward in my life and that's why I need a Jesus Christ
Also, I am in deliverance ministry and I have seen the Spirit of Fear manifest in people when the name of Jesus is called upon, not in the name of love, not in the name of light. But when those supernatural occurrences are happening and someone calls on the name of Jesus to cast out that Spirit, it manifests in a very physical, tangible way that nobody can deny. It is not theatrics. I have witnessed it firsthand multiple times, so I cannot deny it
Fear is just misguided excitement. That's something that I heard in a video by, I think it was by a psychologist or a therapist. She was one of those psychoanalytical people worked in a mental health field, but I agree because she knows she said that was interesting. She said that fear and excitement both give you the same sensation like fight or flight and all that We're in internal and rash. That's very interesting if you think about it.
