I'm not a powerlifter, but I do have some goals at the gym. This year I am determined to get 135 for my bench press and hopefully get 315 for deadlift. And my squat, I am working to get 225. I just like having those goals. I feel like once I hit those, I don't know if I'm gonna try to PR for more because I'm not like competing or anything right now. But yeah, those are just some nice goals that I have. Do you guys have any goals like that at the gym?

So one of my main goals this year to avoid osteoporosis because it's more common in women is to lift. I never do anything with my upper body. I have nerve damage and arthritis and so I'm afraid of doing free weights and I always thought that that just meant that I would never be able to build any upper body strength and I was wrong obviously. So I've been really proud of myself being able to do rows and other types of lifts that safe.

That's so awesome, I love that for you. Did you have to go to a doctor to see which exercises you're cleared for? Weightlifting has been so good for my health and I love it.

Actually, my trainer basically studies in physiology and stuff, so he was the one who was able to plan out and track my pain management through the process of what workouts I was doing and how it was making me feel before and after the workouts. It was a lot of tracking, a lot of work. It was more than the cute little five minute journal that everyone does, but it was very helpful to be mindful of my pain.

Yes I love this I love goalsetting I have always set a like goal of pretty much wanted to increase my way in just a progressive overload the goal that I have set at the moment is I want to be able to live my own way to do chin-ups with my own weight in lesson on assisted seal seal echoes

that's a really good goal i used to be able to do a lot of um chin-ups pull-ups but now I can't even do one so I'm with you there
