This probably isn't surprising, but I was just never into dolls, really of any sort. I really wanted an American girl doll or a porcelain girl doll, but my mom wouldn't trust me with them. she thought I would break them. Anyway, though, the story is...
I never owned a Barbie. There was never a Barbie I wanted. I think this was also influenced by my mom too, actually. Her not wanting to get me Barbies, but the only Barbie I ever owned was one my aunt got me and it was skiing Barbie. She had skis.
And I think it's really interesting that she didn't trust you with porcelain dolls and stuff like that because I had an aunt who had a lot of porcelain figurines.
Okay, I don't know why I'm telling you this, but it seems related. There was this guy who was kind of special. I, okay, I used to work at the Paradise Pier Hotel at Disneyland, And there was this guy who would come like once a month and get a sweet
And downtown Disney has a Build-A-Bear workshop in it, and this guy was known, he was notorious for for buying build-a-bearers for the girls that worked at the hotel.
Now those things are fucking expensive and they're like 50 or 60 bucks. And at the time, they might be more now. And he would only get like one visit. So this would happen like two times, maybe three times a year that someone would get a bill to bear.
Anyway, there was women that worked there for like two years that were waiting to get their fucking bill to bear, right? I had been working there maybe six months and at the time I was still really into roller derby and I guess they had build-a-bears with roller skates that fit on their shoes
One day Scott came in after park closing and he had wetsels pretzels like bagel dogs from downtown Disney for everyone that worked there and he had a roller skating build a bear for me.
And Hailey was so jealous. I was in the break room and I ever heard her being like, I've worked here for years. And he said last time he was going to get me one. And I was like, well, it sucks for you, Hailey.
Goatee girl should be on a t-shirt ASAP. What do we need to do to make that happen? And also that can looks cool. Like, that's like a rugged, like, blue collar can. like it.
Because there are people on TikTok who are like, hey, you're gonna do merch. You're gonna make some stuff We want to see stickers and I'm thinking like I could make a sticker of that too I need to come up with all my little zingers and all these little things, you know
