Hello, I just really want to know why it's okay for a woman to be vulnerable and be weak and show they sad side or we cry, but when men do it, it's uh, oh being a man and grow up and take charge. I don't understand that.

But of course life is real and everything is not going to be cool by y'all because the balance of life you have to have negative and positive so I understand that as well um but it would be nice but then again you need

I'm so sorry for hogging your chat. I'm so sorry. But I honestly believe you do need both because you need a balance of negative and positive feelings about everything. But it would be nice for peacefulness.

So I definitely agree that women are nurturers, naturally burners, and that men are very masculine, but at the end of the day there are women out there who are not naturally nurturers, who have to learn how to be a nurse, and I do.

Because from a young age they're taught that boys don't cry and men don't, men need to mind up and be strong. So it's drilled into them that emotions are weak.

Being vulnerable don't get you no respect at the end of the day. Like, emotional men don't get respect. That's just really how it goes.

It don't get you no respect, but you definitely deserve it because at the end of the day, men deserve to have their moments when they can be weak and when they can feel like it's okay to let that guard down. So I was just against this BS how you guys are taught to just tough it out.

Regardless of gender, if we want to be fully functioning human beings, it is important for us to be able to tap into all aspects of ourselves. Being vulnerable is one of them.

Anyone who is not acknowledging any aspect of themselves is not fully functioning as a whole being. And that is a problem. And that's why we have the problems that we have with men in our society.

I'm actually all for men also letting everything out because they shouldn't be a big shell. They shouldn't be this shield all the time. I'm not a big shell.

As a man you have to be stoic. Men and women are different. I don't know why it's so hard to understand that we're different. So things work differently for us. So emotions work differently for you, emotions work differently for us. We show emotions in different ways.

Well, no one said that men and women weren't different. That wasn't a part of the question. The question is why it's okay for men to be tall, to not be vulnerable, and it's okay for women to be, said it is okay to be vulnerable. So, I'm not gonna lie.

Is that although you guys have been taught to keep your guard up and they talk to just do be masculine It's okay to do you masculine yourself and just be a regular human being with regular human emotions. That's what we're trying to get across

Well the issue is not that men can be emotional, they can, but they do it with their other male counterparts, not with their woman. So that's why it's different.

It's because of what society tells them. But I always tell my son it's okay to feel sad, frustrated, angry. You know, you're designed that way, you're a human being.

You know what? Some Asians when we can't be vulnerable, some Black when we can't be vulnerable, um... Just keep that in mind.

And men can be vulnerable but unfortunately many were not taught to be positive vulnerability. They are taught negative vulnerability. Anger is emotion. A lot of them are taught anger.
