What's the best way to give up? I think the best way to stop is just going cold turkey, just stopping straight away. Just eating the right foods is going to be shit but it will be good in the long run.
I think the best way to give up anything is by decreasing the amount that you consume instead of taking it away completely because that kind of shocks the body and makes you more likely to relapse.
