I think you should intervene if you think that the situation is going to escalate to violence, physical violence, or if it's the man being berating towards the woman. Absolutely.

I would say I would only intervene by calling the police if the couple are actually physically hurting each other. Like, the man knocks the woman out, then yeah, I would call the police.

Okay, cool. I'm gonna say what I haven't heard anyone else say as of yet. I don't know if I'm an intervene and the reason being is because I'm not trying to get fucking killed straight up. Times out of 10 people are going to only intervene when the male is the aggressor. And that's my issue is she could sit there and beat on this dude all day and no one's going to care. But if he raises his voice, then everyone's like, oh, I got to save her. Like, come on, man.
