Punishment is not necessary. You first have to be kind and talk to your kids.

Definitely is because it's like you have to teach your child cause-and-effect there's always gonna be consequences to everybody's actions so you're just preparing them for what's the come and trying to guess guide them in the right direction so it helps

I get stuff for us or part of parenting but I'll see you have to have a good balance between punishment and actually teaching them what is wrong with just punishing them

I think it is necessary because if they're being bad you're obviously gonna have to punish them to tell them I want to show them that but they doing is bad so they learned that for the next time they don't do that thing that they did to get like punished and I don't know how to tell you bro

I feel like it's not I feel like it could be a good way to discipline your kids but it's not the only way I feel like a punishment could only be given if it's something super Duper severe you know

When I was younger I used to think I would also do the same but I like crap and healed from my trauma I definitely don't wanna inflict pain on my children so it's something I definitely will not want to participate in

yes punishment is part of parenting because I can't remember how many times my mom would tell me to go get a switch or my dad would get a belt and I remembered to not do that again so yeah

I think a good alternative is just let them feel the consequences of their actions. Don't bail them out, but let them know what's going to happen. For example, the candy thing at night and no brushing teeth. We're not cleaning up. It doesn't feel like consequences.
