No water is water, water isn't wet, because wet would be wet and water is water. So that's how you know water isn't wet and wet isn't water.

Wetness is defined by the ability of a liquid to apply itself onto a solid surface so no it is not wet itself because water is liquid

Actually that's wrong because in space where gravity is defied water is still wet even though it's not on a flat surface it's in the air so I don't know where you got your little thing
