Okay, so I was at Dollar Tree earlier. Well, it's more like Dollar 25 store nowadays, but anyways, point is, I was walking down an aisle, and I saw a bunch of Christmas stuff being out. And I was like, wait, what? Like, Halloween hasn't even happened yet. Like, I feel like that's too early. Is it too early for Christmas decorations, or am I overreacting? Because I feel like so many companies out there are trying to push what's out next, when we are not even enjoying what's going on now. Like, you know what I mean? So yeah, I would love to hear your honest opinion.
So they don't miss out on the opportunity to sell more and more, right? When they had the time, when they still had the time. Otherwise, it would be very late, later on, and they would have missed out on the opportunity. So they don't want that to happen. It's the consumerism culture and the over-commercialization of everything, you know, festivals and everything, for that matter. Money is what matters, that's it. Nothing else matters, actually. And I think that's okay, as long as people are okay with that.
I totally agree with you to the full extent, especially with what you just said about consumerism culture because that's what it really comes down to. And, you know, brands not wanting to miss an opportunity to, you know, sell their items. And also, I feel like deep down inside, some of these items that are out now were items that were not sold from last year. Do you get what I'm saying? I feel like they're just trying to get rid of things.
Well, you're right from one perspective that Halloween hasn't happened yet and it's too early is what I think, they should be focused more on something else but you know it's just a business and marketing tactics, after Halloween all of these things wouldn't have any relevance and they might not sell that well so that's the reason I think they're just putting it out early so they don't miss out.
It is always too early to be celebrating Christmas if the holidays that should be happening before it hasn't happened yet. Like it's too early to be celebrating Christmas in September if we haven't had Halloween, Hanukkah or Thanksgiving. That is far too early. Like the earliest it should start is the 1st of December.
