If you're a stay-at-home mom who makes sacrifices in order to be a stay-at-home mom because financially things are a little tight if you don't work, what kind of sacrifices do you make? I saw a TikTok on this topic the other day and it started to make me think about the things that I sacrificed that I guess I didn't even realize I was really sacrificing. but I was thinking about it and like I don't get my hair done anymore which is something that I used to do regularly. I don't wear nails anymore which is something that I have done regularly since I was like 15 years old and I no longer do that and just little things like that like even I went to get my first padded cure of the season because it's finally nice here in New York and And I was like, this is gross. I cannot remember the last time I had a pedicure. It had to have been like in the early fall. And again, that's just something that if you had asked me a couple of years ago, that would be so out of my character. So a lot of maintenance things like that, I feel like are the biggest things that I'm starting to realize. I honestly, as a mom, I've been so busy, I didn't even notice that I was sacrificing them, but those are things that I no longer do because they're not really in our budget in a single income household.
I definitely have made the same sacrifices I dye my hair at home now and I only get haircuts like once a year if that if needed you know and I had just gotten one and I don't like it so I'm probably gonna go get another one but I always feel so guilty when I like do stuff like that and I know it's like just mom guilt but I don't know and also buying myself clothes haven't bought myself clothes in so long
