I don't know about you guys, but our grocery bill just feels like it keeps going up and up and up. Like a few years ago, I feel like we could get groceries possibly for even like 100 a week and be okay. And now I feel like it's at least 200 a week or more. I need to pay closer attention, but it's just so much more. If you're okay with sharing how much do you on average spend on groceries a week for you and your family?
Yeah that's not so I just so many things I'm like why is everything so much like eaten like a bag of chips even offbrand it's like 34 dollars or at least that are in low just it's just crazy like everything is so expensive it's nuts
Yeah, it is so ridiculous how much groceries have gone up. I remember a few years ago, you can go to the grocery store with like $100 and your cart is filled with things. And today, you go to the grocery store and you have like two things in your cart in your total like $400. It's crazy.
Yes, it's so insane. I feel like that too. Like it was just, oh, you could spend 100 and have a cart full of groceries and now I'm like barely getting anything for $100. It just gives me anxiety. feel like every time I go to the grocery store it's nuts for sure.
Where are you shopping are used to do a whole bunch of couponing and stuff but yeah stuff has gone up but they're like ways that you can save a whole bunch of money so where are you shopping
I was shopping at um, Meyer or Target regularly, but then I recently switched to Aldi. Aldi just seems like it's cheaper and this stuff is basically the same. And so I've noticed a bit of a decrease in our bill, but it's still just so.
It's getting a little crazy. We actually just spent seven weeks in a hotel while work was being done on our house and I honestly don't think like having to eat out every night that we even spent more than we normally would on groceries which is creating.
That is absolutely insane that we're at the point where eating out is almost the same as grocery shopping like that's nuts I remember when my husband and I were first married like eight years ago and eating out was we would eat out a lot so just the two of us but it was so much more than just cooking at home
Hundred percent and it's so frustrating especially when you're like on a fixed income or things are tight like I stay home and my husband works and we're like we're always kind of money and just feel like everything is so expensive anymore just
Yes, the prices of groceries are like completely ridiculous. I don't even understand it, but we spend anywhere between 200 to 250 a week. and then also the boys are going through a growth spurt so they eat a lot right now.
Yeah I completely agree and that totally makes me feel better that I'm not spending too much because then I get the bill and I'm like him I like spending things in an unnecessary like items like why is our bill so high but then I look at our groceries I'm like no this is all like the necessities that we need
Like even like the baby necessities like you know you get your diapers or baby wipes or formula is also very expensive like I just don't get why it's so much
Yeah it's definitely ridiculous and super stressful I just feel like every time I go each week I'm like oh that price is raised or just something else is raised even like a box of like offbrand Cheez-Its or like cereal I'm like how is cereal so dang expensive it is
