So I was going across some Disney movies that I was trying to find for my toddlers to watch and I don't really watch movies very often but I was just kind of scrolling through and I saw all of the movies that I used to watch like growing up but I did here I think it was from like a Twitter thread or some thing that a lot of the Disney movies today come with like contact warnings I didn't even know that so like they're some people sad like a lot of these Disney movies had a ton of like sexualization racism kind of like things that are kind of like misogynistic And I don't know what do you think do you would you allow your kids to watch these types of movies if you knew the kind of they had in it I don't for me I don't know yeah I don't think my kids are old enough to really understand what's going on I mean I grew up watching these and I had no idea that they even had things like that in them But yeah what do you think do you think that we subconsciously kind of grew up with that mindset I don't I don't even know cause like a lot of people are saying that Dumbo was like one of the worst ones and I don't even know why but I know beauty and the beast was on there Peter Pan little mermaid things you know like super common Disney movies but yeah let me know what you think and if you were still allow your kids to watch those likeness shop nostalgic movies that we watched growing up let me know

I'd have to do more research, probably like based on the specific movie. I mean I remember as a kid I watched all the Disney movies and I don't remember them ever being an issue or maybe we just didn't know about it. I don't know. But we never had a problem. I probably just like I said do research for sure.

The Disney I watched when I was a kid 25 years ago 30 years ago not the same Disney as today so I'm expecting another child and I will not be letting my kid watch Disney now 10 years ago even I might have but not anymore

Yes I know it depends on the movie but one of the members of my family pointed out how some of the Disney movies have like hidden sexual messages and innuendos and I'm like OK

I watched Disney and Disney movies with the kids and we had fun. Like, I don't have a problem with it. If I do see a problem then I immediately take it off, but I haven't seen anything so far.

I don't know about sexualization but I know older Disney movies like Peter Pan and Lady and the tramp have racist caricatures I think once your kids are a little bit older it's good to show them it but also educate them that it's not OK

Yes I would deafly gonna be careful cause some of them are kind of inappropriate but I think they're really special and yeah

I grew up on Disney Europe on Disney we are probably group and Disney we all know that there's things as kids we didn't catch when we watch all those shows like we don't pay attention to Cinderella boobs

Say I think we're all those warnings come from it's just people getting easily offended from weird things in movies like very small details I think it's safe for kids to watch either of watching Disney I didn't change anything about me like I didn't make me a racist person or make me want to smoke it's just how they were made back then it's not a dangerous thing for kids to watch

I grew up with all the old movies and I still end up being gay and perfectly fine and perfectly liberal despite growing up everything but that so I don't think it matters too much.
