Did anyone else have like a really weird experience going to any school except like a public school? Maybe that's like a private school, charter school, home school even? I don't know. I did end up going actually to a private school but not until like my late elementary school year. So I think it was like a fourth grade and fifth grade when I went to a private school and I hated it. By then it was already super clicky at least with the the private school that I was with. There weren't that many students per grade. There was like maybe 20 students per grade and it was horrible. I don't think I will ever put my kids in private school unless they start out in a private school then maybe. And then for high school I ended up going to a charter school my last two years and for my 11th and 12th grade years and it wasn't like a horrible experience I would say but it was just weird. The kids were weird and they had like a very weird mindset like things were getting to the point where things were like being let go. I don't know how to explain that other than just like the school allowed really weird things to happen. So yeah let me know what your guys' experiences are and whether you would allow your children to go to like private school, charter school, things like that. My advice is that you did put your kids in a private school if it's at all possible financially. Start them as early as you can. private schools tend to get super clicky and if I had started there a lot earlier I think I wouldn't have as much of an issue. But yeah.
So after the weird years that we've had in this world I decided to put our son into a private kindergarten program so he's officially enrolled through the state of California in a charter school and then we get enrichment funds to build his curriculum and so through that I put him in a couple different private school programs
I personally got myself going to public school all throughout my schooling and I never had any weird problems but I also didn't really enjoy school that much I was a good student and did well but I didn't love it and I think I probably would've loved it more if it was a private smaller situation but that wasn't some thing that was available to my parents but I think it just really depends on each school itself and the child and how they learn and what they need
Yeah I like that I think I would definitely put my kid into like a private I'm either pre-K when I get a chance to if I do end up having the funds at the time to do that I don't know the charter schools in my area we're just really weird and I know lotta people had similar like experiences and the private schools again that's also like you said it depends on the school like in the person obviously I didn't have a great experience but again I was already late into
I was going in there late, like fourth, fifth grade, and then I ended up going back to public school and I had a better experience there. I feel like the teachers in public school at the time cared only if you cared and then you were kind of like forced to do your own shit. At the charter school that I ended up going to, they were really like catering to kids and and change their grades because they wanted a better graduation rate.
So the first program is nature school he goes to that one day a week and then the other other days the week he goes to it's pretty much just like a regular school but it's private and there's less rules and it's smaller less kids and they spend a lot more time outside exploring outdoors neighborhood field trips all that kind of stuff and then we also use friends for things like karate and swim and it's works really well for our family
So my oldest has been going to private school for three years now so when he starts third grade it will be his fourth year and we love it and he loves it he has like a total of 15 in his class that's including him
That's so nice that he loves it I think it's a huge investment and it'll be a great if your kid actually likes it and is learning those skills who actually strive to do better are great the ones that I went to it was OK but like I said it was just very clicky I felt very left out because I wasn't already there from the very beginning and then the charter school that I did go to just kind of like heater dickhead so the kind of let people slide and they change grades because they were about to graduate
No, we were like all public school kids in my family at least. Actually, my younger, no, I'm lying. My brother went to a small charter school, which was like less than 400 kids.
I think I had a better experience in my public school years because I was kind of pushed to do my own thing and if I didn't then I would fail. The charter school in my area that I ended up going to for two years in high school I regret going to because they like really didn't care if you didn't know your stuff they would pass you anyway and I feel like that was the issue a lot of people passed and they shouldn't have because they wanted a better graduation which kind of sucks like come on
I'm been homeschooled I've been in a charter school and I've been in a public school and I have a don't think I ever been to a private school but my experiences oh God sorry I'm going to each have been OK I would say I like charter schools public schools I like them too but I just I don't know I just feel like education
