Hey guys hey gals let's talk periods for a minute I specifically like postpartum periods especially if you're a breast-feeding mom because I'm just so confused of what's going on with my period I basically started my period right after my postpartum bleeding stopped and I got it for like four months like every month I would get it for the four or five days it was worse than before I had my son like I never experienced cramps before in my life but after I had him I would get cramps with my period every month OK so fast forward I stopped getting my period took 1 million pregnancy test was convinced that I was pregnant wasn't pregnant and then I didn't have a period for a few months and then I would have one and it was really light and then I didn't have one for a couple months and then I had one that was like really crazy heavy and then I didn't have one for a couple months and now I just started again this morning so I'm like what the heck like I thought you know I always thought that you don't get your period when you're breast-feeding but that's definitely not true And after having my son-in-law doing research I realize that's like a very common misconception but why is mine so irregular it's really annoying I keep thinking that I'm pregnant and I don't wanna be pregnant yet so it's freaking me out but yeah I'm just curious does anybody else have a super super random regular periods like this is the week I'm supposed to get my period but I haven't gotten one for the last two months so I was not expecting it but yeah let me know you guys experience with your periods after having your kids because I'm just confused at this point and I need to hear from some people
Girl you are not alone so I have one child she's nine months old and I stopped breast-feeding around four months because I had to go back to work but the bottom line is exactly what you said the cramps came back like the period just the whole thing in general was just like 1000 times worse than before I had her like I said why is that not talked about I'm like what kind of period is
Got cut off but I was saying like this. Came back with a vengeance like what it's like why does nobody warn warn each other that like oh just so you know when your period does come back it's possible that it's going to come back like heavier way more painful like I just was not prepared for it but how old is your child like I'm curious to know how long your peers been a regular like this for
No yeah exactly it is definitely not talked about enough and I don't really know why like it's not that like taboo of a thing you know like a lot of women share their birth stories and like gory detail but nobody talks about the. You know it's just it's funny to me but my son is about to be one he will be one on the 17th so it's been like this for a while now and it's really frustrating
So after I had my baby it was almost like a full year before I got my period back and then mine are pretty consistent but I have heard that they are sometimes inveigling why you have us feeding him because right when he was feeding that's the whole moon skull all over the place
You are so lucky for that seriously like I felt so unlucky that I got mine back right away Especially because I had always heard with breastfeeding that you don't get a period at all So that's interesting that it would make it a regular. I mean that definitely makes sense and that probably is what's going on, like for me.
I'm so breast-feeding at 21 months in and my cycle of sometimes it's false a couple days ahead of time before it starts now so I guess it's all depends
Yes, I definitely feel you there. After my postpartum bleeding for my first period, I bled for like 14 days and then I think it took a year and a half for my periods to not not be as long, but they are still super heavy and it drives me crazy.
Dang that sucks I'm sorry girl yeah it's kind of crazy how much your bodies change after you have a baby like I don't know part of me expected that after like postpartum I would just go back to how it was before I had a baby like I didn't realize that my period would change like I was always so regular no crabs one of the lucky ones and now it's not that way at all and I was not expecting it to be like that
Oh my goodness, that's awful. Yeah, I think it's crazy like how much our bodies change after giving birth. Like you would think that after you know, the postpartum recovery or whatever, you would just go back to normal like how you were before you were pregnant but But that's really not the case, you know?
I didn't really get it so I got pregnant rated had it for nine months and then I started my breast-feeding and they say that that helps or that you don't get your period but I didn't get it for a little while maybe one or two months and then I got pregnant again so here I am. Plus again I will see for how long
Your berry can go kind of haywire when you're breastfeeding, but if you're young and it's being pretty random like that, it's always a really good idea to go in and get checked and just make sure everything's okay.
