I've been working out at this gym now about since September, so I don't know how many months it's been. I don't know what month it is, but and I really like it. It's kind of like a small gym. It's called retro fitness and I know it's like a chain across the US and just the community that I'm in. Like everybody that goes there is super nice and I can go there pretty much anytime and and know the people that are there and smile and wave, have a quick conversation with them. And I wanna know if you guys have that same type of feeling and whatever gym that you go to. Cause I've definitely been to some gyms where there's not that sense of community and people just go in and work out and leave. And I find it really nice actually because sometimes that's my social hour to make sense but I try to make it not my social hour but it just ends up turning into that because there's people there and I like them and I wanna say hi and we have common interests. So yeah, let me know if your gym has the same thing because it's been nice for me to like be able to make friends and you know, talk to people that are interested the same things I am.
I want to say yes I do. I feel like it's relatively, I go to LA Fitness to work out and so it's low-key. It's very nice. Everyone kind of minds your business but if you see someone's like, go, hey, like, you know, you'll talk to them. So yeah, it's a nice little community of people that come and work out.
There is no community in my gym, but I think it's this subscription-based thing, like you pay what you want. There are several locations within the city, so you don't really have that sense of community. I think if I was going to a gym where it was only that gym, then I could feel that community, but it's okay. Because I typically will go with friends or with family to create that sense of community, but I definitely would like to meet other people that would want to go to dance classes or pilates or things like that. That'd be fun.
It's clear, I don't think... No, we don't have a community. I'm based with our gym. I think the gym is more an area where people go, especially at different times, very different times. It's an open 24-hour gym. But it's more centralized, like you just go in there, get your work done, and more finished, more work-enforced environment, more of a community safe, more like engaging.
And you know what? Sometimes there's some pros and cons to that. Like the other day I went to the gym and I didn't have a lot of time and I just wanted to like get in and get out and there's so many people talking to me and like I don't want to be rude uh, you know, but it just like made my time there so much longer and I was kind of annoyed so I think there's pros and cons to both
Yeah I don't really but I do you have friends that attend the same gym so sometimes we go and have workouts together but sometimes I really like just going and not talking to anybody
