This is very funny and true usually when guests come over they always want to be in the rooms hang out and stuff like that so I definitely feel it it's very funny
Yes, you know, honestly, like I do clean my entire house top to bottom when I have guests over just for the sheer fact of like, once everyone leaves, I don't have to do any chores after other than like tidy up the kitchen and the dining room because in theory, like when I have people over, I normally go all out to, you know, make sure my guests are comfortable.
And what that means is I make sure my home is clean top to bottom the house smells nice It's got a great ambiance to it, right? Perfect for hosting. I make sure that my guests get the best kind of food dessert Entertainment, etc That's how I've hosted in the past, right? I haven't hosted in a long time, but that's how I host And Oh next comment
And by the end of the interaction with people, I'm normally drained energy-wise, and the last thing I want to do is go to bed with a messy place, you know what I mean? So I make it easy on myself in advance to have everything clean from top to bottom. That way, I can just go to bed after putting food away, you know what I mean? I don't have to stay up late.
And, when I am hanging out with guests, I'm not thinking about, oh, I still have to do this, I still have to do that, you know? I can actually relax, I can actually unwind. So that's another reason why I expect things to be clean and organized before guests arrive. I do have boundaries in my home, like I don't permit guests to just explore my house, you know what I mean?
Because I do believe that is weird on some level. I think everyone in every home deserves to have some level of privacy. And going into a person's bedroom without their permission, for me personally, that is weird. So I do lock my bedroom door. I lock my kids' rooms and stuff, because they're not here to sleep and hang out upstairs. They're here to eat and hang out downstairs.
this is hilarious because it's so true it's so hard to get a kid a teenager specifically to clean their bedroom it's ridiculous but my thing is if they don't clean it I do peace
Hey Cassandra, shout out to you. Thank you so much for your comment to my soundbite. I do the same when my kids don't clean their rooms. I will normally go in there and do it. I've gotten backlash over that from other moms within the mom community, but at the same time, like I'm not going to just leave the room a mess. You know what I mean? Eventually they will be responsible and will clean their room. But for now, I don't mind helping. Shout out to you.
