What did you want to grow up to be and did you accomplish that? I wanted to grow up to be an artist and I have done that and have been doing it. I love it. It's my passion. It's something that I want to show my kids that whatever they're passionate about, they can accomplish and I'll back them up all the way. Let me know.
Hmm. Well, I didn't know what I was gonna grow up just to be honest with you, but I'm accomplishing the things I would accomplish in life as a professional podcast.
Yeah, because at the beginning, like when you're a kid there's a lot of things sometimes you're like yeah no I don't know there's so many options there's so many things but it's all cool cuz you know life is a journey and it's never too late.
That is so awesome. You know, when I was a kiddo, I really didn't know what I wanted to be. I got my degree in equine business and ranch management and we're just now starting a farm. But I know I wanted to grow up and be happy. That's pretty much it.
I actually don't have any right now. I have 15 acres that we are turning into a farm. We don't even have a barn, but we're building chicken coop. And it's a lot of fun. It's a lot of work, but I love it. It's rewarding.
When I was really young, I wanted to be a veterinarian, but then I realized that you have to deal with like very sick, very injured, and sometimes like the animals die, and I was like, okay, I couldn't handle that. So then I really wanted to be a teacher.
And I really wanted to be a mom as well, so I did not end up pursuing teaching, although I did it for a while. I didn't end up doing that, now I'm just a mom, so I got half of what I wanted, I guess.
Oh wow, that's awesome. But I totally understand you because it's really difficult when you really care about an animal and then they pass away. It's heart wrenching. And I love that you wanted
Teaching is great too. What grade do you think you would have taught? And do you think you would do it now that you have a baby? Like when the baby grows up? Or no.
So growing up I always wanted to be like an ultrasound technician because I was just obsessed with the fact that like humans could literally grow babies in their stomach. And I actually started college to be an ultrasound tech but obviously fell pregnant so I didn't go through with it.
I'm sorry about that. And I know that our perceptions change as we grow and our journey is different. but now looking at it as an adult would you choose those careers or go for something else if you could.
I really wanted to be a teacher ever since I was like in kindergarten and I Was I went to school to be a teacher and would taught for a few years years, 34 years and then I became a mom and I've been a stay at home mom since and I like that better than T.J.
So when I was small, I would always pretend play that I was a teacher. So I always wanted to be a teacher growing up or just working with children. I currently do work with children, but I am not a teacher.
That is great. What age group do you work with? Do you think there's like... Like, is it easier or harder to work with the younger ones? Or is it more difficult?
