Alright, how many of you guys did baby lead weaning and why or why not? I did not do it with my son and I know it's not too late, he's 9 months old, and I haven't introduced some more solids, but I did not do it because it scared me too much, so I stuck with the purees, but I'm just curious, if you did it or did not, why did you make the choice that you did? I'm going to leave it at that.
I'm trying to remember, but I think with my first, she was about seven or eight months, I think, when we started doing baby blood witting. But honestly, I didn't even know what it was called at the time. We were just kind of listening to her cues.
With my second she was a lot more adventurous so we started doing it a lot earlier and we just did it with soft foods. Bananas was probably like the first one and we did like really steamed carrots, really steamed broccoli, basically like mush.
From there, I think both of my daughters started getting more interested the more they saw us eat and they would want things that we wanted. So I mean we obviously just did everything with precaution and we looked at a lot of other...
We followed, or at least I followed, a lot of other professionals and what they recommended for that age and as long as it met the guidelines of the pediatrician as long as they were fine with it and they saw that she was not having any signs of choking and stuff like that.
So I did baby led weenie with both of my kids when they showed all the signs of readiness around six to seven months. I didn't want to do purees because I didn't like what they put in the canned pureed food in the stalker.
I feel like it became a thing like two years ago. So my daughter, my first child, I did not. My second with my son, I didn't because I just didn't look into it. And this third time and final I will not be just because she has dysphasia.
I did it with my son, my last son. I didn't do it with my daughter, but I feel like that has helped him be more comfortable eating more foods. He's definitely like, he's a good eater, versus my daughter who's more of a picky eater.
I tried to and I had my daughter breastfeeding until like one and a half two and I was like that's enough I was getting tired of it so I was like okay that's enough you
So what I was saying was that I tried to give her the pacifier, but she's always hated it so that didn't end well But she got used to it and she's good now.
