So my biggest hobby or interest, I guess, before I was a parent was reading and I would read constantly all kinds of books and multiple books a day and just yeah, I really really loved reading and then once I had kids I really didn't have time for it and it's something that I really miss and lately I've been trying to make it a point to get back into it and any free chance that I get I'm trying to read a little bit. So I'm just curious, what are some things that you guys really enjoyed doing before you had your kids and do you find that you don't have time for it now or are you still able to do it? Is it something you're trying to get back into? I don't know, let's just talk. Let's talk about it.
So before kids I would, I really like sleeping. But I also enjoyed reading a lot and I actually make it a priority to make sure I read at least 30 minutes a day.
I totally feel you. I absolutely love sleep as well. And it's honestly one of the hardest things about being a mom for me is the lack of sleep. Oh man, I miss sleep. I really, really do. Sleeping in all day.
Before having kids, I would say my hobby was like going to the gym. I would literally go to the gym for like two hours and just like work out and like de-stress and listen to music.
That was definitely one of my hobbies as well, and I do miss it sometimes. I definitely want to get a gym membership again, but I don't know. I just don't have the same motivation that I used to to do that in my free time. You know, there's so many other things.
Before kids we lived in Florida, actually pretty close to Disney World, and we had annual passes. So my husband and I would honestly go to Disney World very frequently, like at least once a week. And it was just so fun, just the two of us.
Oh wow, that's awesome. I live in Florida. I was born and raised here and growing up, my parents worked at Disney and Universal. So we got to go all the time because of the free tickets and it was a really awesome part of my childhood for sure.
I would absolutely love to do that for my kids as well. I don't know about working there, but I would absolutely love to get tickets again, like annual passes.
Honestly, I feel like I have more hobbies now than I did before I had kids. But the main one I think I would say was like I was a really heavy gym user before.
So before I became a mom, I was working in the film and TV industry and I was studying in it as well and I kind of just had to fully stop because filming either a TV or film, whatever it is, It takes very, very long days. and I just chose my kids over that.
I totally understand. I was in a career that would have been long days and a lot of time away from my kids. After I became a mom, I just realized that that wasn't what I wanted anymore.
