All right so Disney posted some new character posters for the upcoming live action version of the little mermaid and I have some thoughts OK I'm gonna say it I'm just saying here and I hope approves me wrong but I personally think this may be the worst live action Disney movie that we will have so far I don't know why am having a start that's just my initial reaction to the trailer to the posters I think Melissa McCarthy is Ursula is actually a really good casting even though I'm not a big fan of us McCarthy and Javier Bardem as a king triton it's gonna be a good choice But I don't know man like flounder looks kind of weak and everything else just does not look good I mean I think like once you see avatar two and everything to do with like the underwater scenes I feel like this movies gonna look so cheap and just not good and actually seems pretty pointless to do a live action version of little mermaid let me know what you guys thought about the posters and everything else
So I actually don't agree necessarily I mean I don't think it's gonna be good but I don't think it'll be worse than the lion King live action that in my opinion is the most pointless live vation remake Disney has ever and will ever make love Beyoncé but yeah this one I think might be second worse but I don't think it'll be the worst
No you're totally right I agree the lion king remake is the worst one I don't even think about that I was forgot how bad it was because of Beyoncé she's probably the worst thing of that I know Donald Glover was probably the best thing about the lion King but Beyoncé just brought down the entire production single-handedly
When it comes to Disney's live actions, Lion King was definitely the least good. Um, but watching the trailer for the Little Mermaid, there was one part where Scuttle, you know, a seagull is underwater and he just clearly threw me off like, you know, yo, that dude needs air. And he's like under the water like he was talking. He was messing with me. So I don't know. I think it was just kind of downhill from there.
Frozen the whole point of live action like supposed to be even more realistic like you know it is an anatomy movie is supposed to be a live action version so that I like that I can see where that would throw all of us off
Yeah I'm so torn because I feel like I am forced to want to like it because it's so nostalgic but at the same time like come on it's the CGI it's just a no I don't know that yeah you're right the underwater scenes look so off I don't know if I can find this I'll probably wait for it to be out on Disney+
Yeah and it sucks because I feel like a little mermaid is a lot of peoples favorite animated like older Disney feel like that I guess like the 90s or whatever Emmy and people love the Broadway musical as well so it's like you have a lot of fans behind us and I don't know I feel like you can't really mess it up you know yeah you gotta go all the way
Yeah, I feel like there hasn't really been one live action that's been like, oh my god, that was so good. It's, they've all been like, okay, so yeah, that was that. Honestly, I mean, out of the ones that I've watched, I kind of enjoyed Beauty and Beast like a little bit, I guess. But other than that, yeah, may need to stop.
I mean would be better off if there's major strata meeting original news stories as they do with other films rehashing it's just it. The money grab end things will be better if we just didn't rehash things from the past all damn time I even go to the movies too often so what what happened Make make a cinematheques for my face
Yeah, I completely agree because like who are these movies for? Are they for the 30, 40, 50 year old people who watch these movies when they were younger, when they were kids, when they were adults, or like younger adults? It's always just so confusing. You know, we would all rather have more fresh ideas, you know?
Yeah, I mean, I'm all or nothing when it comes to these kinds of things. You know, to me, they missed a big opportunity here and that opportunity was the Sebastian Flounder combo of Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson. I mean, those two were the deep dynamic duo of the 90s, paired with the comedy dynamic duo of live action movie stars. I mean, look, Owen Wilson, he's already played a car like come on he needs to play a fish next how does nobody see that
You know, I don't mind the posters. I think it perks interest up in everything. I do get why some folks are kind of turned off by Flounder, because he looks kind of weird, but you know, that's how Flounders really look. So go with the flow. I think Little Memory's about to shock the world how good it's going to be.
