The WGA is on strike as of today at noon, I believe, or Monday at noon, I think. I just want to know everybody's thoughts. Got a lot of friends out there, so hope they're doing well and engaging in getting what they deserve. Super important just for context. Anybody who's not in the entertainment end, but you know, writers make all the, they write all the content. I mean, even most reality shows have some scripted content or component to them, right? So definitely an important job in the industry. Definitely should get what they want. Definitely shouldn't be even a conversation. But yeah, there's a bigger push towards like gig economy writers, as you can imagine, just like, you know, with the rise of Netflix and stuff like that and just like paying writers one-off situations and then, you know, basically leaving the project. So yeah, definitely need to improve those conditions. But tell me your thoughts if connected to it, tell a story, anything.
I mean eight I mean if they're not get what they need then OK but they're being ridiculous now but yeah government should have benefits and fair panel and
Yeah, I don't I feel like with with Hollywood there's so many people who want to do that that job right that like I don't think that it becomes a you know ridiculous thing when they when they do strike I think it's it's more of a needs based economy because like if they were replaceable they absolutely would I think they know like the power they have and I think they just want to get what's right.
I completely agree man in this time of the golden age of television in my opinion I just think that the writer need to be paid with a need to be paid like more money and a lot of these shows rely on the riders and with this whole bullshit with the AI it's not the same thing man and the studios need to realize that so I really hope that they get their money and that Hollywood and whoever pays for this
Yeah, Marcel, unfortunately, like, a lot of times, I feel like studios will like, pass the costs onto the consumer, even though they're making like record-breaking profits, right? So like, it's a tough spot, you know, it's, I mean, I think you can categorize this fight to like a lot of industries or just like, you know, capitalism in general, right? I definitely agree. I hope the narrative stays positive long term.
It's unfortunate but it's necessary I think we have to protect the riders protect the actors and protect the employees because you know these studios these conglomerates these these people who have all the money are making and hand over fist to the point where they could easily be paying everybody more fair wages but instead they keep it all to themselves and yeah I think it's time for a change
