My three year old is autistic and I am very open about this and the journey it has taken me on as well as the journey that he is on I really took a long time to come to acceptance with his diagnosis I felt he's so young I don't want to put a label on him and even though I saw the signs I just wasn't ready to do that for quite a while but really things became very clear when he was to his therapist and teachers were mentioning things and I just couldn't ignore it any longer so I finally did come to full acceptance with this diagnosis about six months ago and it really changed my perspective on things I've really realize that Autism is not some thing that is necessarily bad or something that is wrong with an individual it is just different and I'm so glad our society is heading in the direction where we are excepting peoples differences I really share about autism because I want to spread awareness and acceptance for it it can look so different in each individual and it doesn't necessarily mean that the individual is not capable or won't be successful my son in particular is extremely intelligent he's actually in the gifted arena according to his therapist and teachers so I even though he's only three years old I do say with confidence that my son is it is a gifted level intelligence and I just like to share the positives and so my question for you is do you have anyone You know that is autistic in your life and if so how has that changed your perspective on autism and if not how much do you feel you know about autism scale of 1 to 10
So my brother is 25 this year and he's a very autistic he can't read write or speak he can walk feed myself and most things as a toilet and beer was the very difficult girl
Thank you so much for sharing this I imagine it was difficult growing up I have an older daughter who is six and not autistic and I think about her a lot and how things may affect her my son still young so it's unclear what direction exactly things will go for him as of yet
