Oh my gosh I went grocery shopping for the week and it cost $254 now just to be clear that's like twice as much as a typical grocery shopping trip for me now I will admit that I had to get a few extra things this week but not $100 or $125 extra worth of things so I am just kind of pulling my hair out over this grocery prices it would honestly be cheaper to eat fast food for every meal then to get groceries now obviously that's not gonna be a healthy choice but Man it's shouldn't be this way what are your thoughts
I'll totally totally agree on that like seriously me and my husband were talking the other day and we were like we could just eat Costco hotdog and pizza every day like twice a day instead of getting groceries and it would save us so much money because groceries are just like so ex sanely expensive the other day like my son was asking for these granola bars and I was like yeah sure and then I like went to grab them and they were
100% 100% agree with you I shop at Price Rite and Aldi which I would say is more of like the Frugal frugal places to like shop and I coupon too for some of the things but I recently stopped buying like red items and just going like I'm buying a bag of yeast at BJ's and I've been making my own bread literally so much cheaper but it's crazy to think that I was buying bread for almost 34 dollars and that price right it's like $.99 now and
Now that's a loaf of bread it's like almost 2 dollars or a little over two dollars which is literally over 100% inflation and in those prices are between like a few months it's not even like a year you know in a mean so it just like makes zero sense and even if it was a year I would still have questions
I need to start going to Aldi too. I just honestly, I really hate going to more than one store because it's just hard with the kids, taking a minute out. And Aldi usually doesn't have every single thing that we need, so the next cheapest place is Walmart. but yeah, I think it's time to go back to Aldi.
Yeah, no, grocery prices have gotten so bad and I'm over here. Like, we were already kind of struggling to get by when I was working full-time and after being fired, like, we lost 50% of our income. And like, seeing the prices of things increase, it just really freaks me out. Um, I'm like, how... how are we going to do this? Yeah, it's not easy to make healthy choices.
Girl you ain't lion OK let me tell you I was in Walmart and I drink Arizona green tea every single day like all my life like she's just my favorite drink and I've drank it every day forever why did the gallon at Walmart mind you cost 7939 for a gallon of green tea I kid you not I was absolutely floored
No, I 100% agree like the grocery prices are way too high. I call myself saving money because I'll just like not eat out and I'll go buy stuff to make dinner. But I end up spending more buying the groceries than if I would have just eaten out and then honestly we don't really have a lot of leftovers most of the time. So yeah, I don't know. ridiculous how expensive groceries are now.
