Hopefully by now someone's had the heart to tell you that your brand is more than your logo. If not, I'm here to tell you that and also break down some things that will help you start your brand successfully.
Branding is what people say when you're not in the room, what they think, what they see, and how they connect with your brand. It's more than advertising and marketing. Marketing is a tool. Remain Forever.
If you're into content creation or anything in the realm of entertainment, I would even go as far as to have an entertainment lawyer to consult with to move forward because some Some people are getting sued for simple stuff like UGC.
Yes especially if you're someone going into business like that deals with like the music industry that would be easy like that would be good to have because the music in a tree is incredibly flawed and you can get in trouble for like the little of stuff
Exactly and having a lot of people in my network who are in the entertainment industry specifically music I totally get what you're saying and I wish I could dive deep into it, but we both know it's a mess
This soundbite is definitely full of valuable information that is related to you know brand building and advise when starting a new business a new brand the new identity
I knew identity for a product or service or a company. I don't know how people is just so mean and commenting things that are not related or disrespectful.
Carol, thank you so much for going out of your way to respond to this soundbite. Yeah, there have been some negative comments, but I'm going to continue to post because I feel I feel like this information should be out there in the world.
I like this format because often if you look at my podcasts that I've done here, they're very long and very detailed. here I can give you the information very quickly and you can go on and apply it.
Absolutely and I know for me one of my biggest pain points is attempting to develop a brain around me and not around the people that I want to bring on because everybody can't come
On top of that, people try to go after every single person. Everybody can't come because everybody's not meant to be associated with your brand. It's just the fact.
Yeah, there's so much around this having been in startup consultancy for a while and I'm by no means a marketing professional but just the general thing like your identity and who you want to be known as is absolute key from the get go.
I think, wherever any business you start, you just need to understand that it needs to provide a solution to everyday problems people face or common problems that people face. And I think that's just a basis or blueprint that anyone should have on me
I think the few things you should think about when starting a brand is how would it benefit people, how would you attract people to the brand and what kind of age range and if you have any issues can you solve them?
I want you to throw out the idea of I need a logo and a tagline and this and that and think of your brand as a strategy and blueprint for the future. If you build out the correct brand strategy you will set yourself up for success, I guarantee.
If you ever thought, wow, she's rude or he has an attitude, that's a part of your brand. So think about it this way. How would you want someone to speak to you? How would you want someone to reflect when they've heard about your brand?
The next question I want you to think about is why do we exist? Why should people care in the first place? If you can answer those questions, then I need you to dig a little bit deeper. What is our next step now that we know what they care about? What do they need?
