Do you think that like thinking that you're pretty or posting mirror selfies and things like that is a bad thing or a good thing? Like do you think it signifies insecurity? Do you think that it's good to like love yourself, what does that mean to you and like how do you express self-love?
Also, I'm gonna leave a reply here because I forgot to answer my own question, but I don't think that it necessarily means the person is insecure. I know you hear that a lot about like, oh, she's taking a selfie, she thinks she's so hot, she's a narcissist, that type of a thing. But like, I know from personal experience, I was bullied a lot growing up. And so when I have days where I feel like I look good, that's kind of a rare occurrence. It's more often now, but...
But on those days I like to celebrate that because I have had such a hard time accepting my physical appearance for so many years. So when I do feel like I look good, I do take mirror selfies, sometimes I'll post a picture, things like that. And to me it doesn't necessarily mean insecure, it means healing so I think it depends on the circumstance.
I don't think that anyone looking at someone posting a mirror selfie has any room to make any kind of judgment on what that means about that person. I just like people that have fun and do whatever makes them feel more comfortable. So it's really about just, I guess, you know, ourselves and how we feel about ourselves. If taking mirror selfies, if we're doing it because we feel like shit and we feel like it's if we're really over analyzing ourselves. If it's hurting then maybe it's not a good idea, but at the end of the day we should all be building towards body positivity and loving yourself
